How it works

BuddyRow is a short list of the people you and your friends actually hire: plumbers, CPAs, electricians, mechanics.

Friends are mutual

You become friends only when someone opens your invite link, or you open theirs. Then you each see the other’s shared vendors. Nobody is added without opening a link.

Only direct friends, never friends of friends

You see vendors from the people you’re connected to, and they see yours. Their friends don’t see your list, and you don’t see theirs.

You choose what’s shared

Each vendor you add is shared with your friends unless you turn off Share with friends. Vendors you keep to yourself are marked Only you, and they never count toward anyone’s “Shared by.”

What “Shared by” means

When friends have the same vendor on their lists (matched by phone number, email, or name and trade), BuddyRow shows which of your friends have shared them, like “Shared by Sarah and Dave.”

Your list is yours

You can edit or remove only your own entries. Adding a vendor from a friend’s list makes your own copy, with your own notes.

Invite links

Your personal invite link works for anyone you send it to. An invite sent to a specific email or phone number works once, so a forwarded link can’t connect a stranger.

How BuddyRow makes money

It doesn’t. BuddyRow was built by a small group of friends who wanted an easier way to share the pros we trust. There are no ads and no paid listings.

If running it ever gets expensive, we’ll find a way to cover the server costs that also makes BuddyRow more useful. Until then, we plan to enjoy it with our friends and be helpful.
